Job description
Job Title: Data Protection Administrator
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £26,307 (£27,622 is achieved after 12 months successful performance in the role)
Working Hours: Full Time - 35 Hours
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

The difference you will make as a Data Protection Administrator
You will provide administrative support to the Data Protection function, to support all areas of data protection compliance. The role will report directly to the Lead Business Partner - Data Protection.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstratable experience in a data protection/information governance focussed administrative role
- Understanding of Data Protection and other associated legislation
- Good level of IT skills and literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Role Profile
- Provide general administrative support to the data protection team
- Log, and process subject access requests (including information gathering, redaction and review)
- Log, and process 3rd party disclosure requests (including information gathering, redaction and review)
- Log and process erasure requests
- Assist in maintaining a log of data breaches and near misses, including remedial actions
- Log and assist in investigating and responding to data protection complaints
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of Riversides Record of Processing
- Champion information rights, providing clear and coherent guidance to colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers
- Assist in the creation and provision of relevant management information for the Group, including breach reporting, key risk reporting and compliance with statutory timeframes
Cross Team Working:
- Assist in driving ongoing engagement and collaboration between the DP team and other business directorates
- Ensure excellent service for all colleagues and customers when providing advice, support and lessons learnt
Other:
- Comply fully with all Group policies and procedures.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
Other Information:
- The Group has offices across the UK and on this basis, there will be the occasional requirement to travel to other locations to effectively perform this role.
- The role will be exposed to sensitive information; therefore, the role holder is expected to maintain levels of confidentiality at all times.
- To fulfil the requirements of this role, you will be required to work flexibly during the hours of operation.

Person specification
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Demonstratable experience in a data protection/information governance focussed administrative role
- Understanding of Data Protection and other associated legislation
- Good level of IT skills and literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate self-motivation
- Have good analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate good organizational skills
- Be proactive in setting goals and achieving deadlines
Desirable
- Demonstrable experience of working within a highly regulated customer focused sector.
- Experience of using One Trust software
