Full-time- 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: Until 30 September 2025

The Opportunity:

Childlight, a global child safety institute, is looking for a Criminal Justice Data Analyst to ensure that we bring a variety of administrative data from across the global criminal justice system into our research. The post-holder will be responsible for engaging with criminal justice professionals internationally, to access, analyse and interpret data to feed in to Childlight's Into the Light Global Index and Searchlight report.

You will provide analytical support and insight, building research relationships and engaging in strategic data analysis across the criminal justice system. This may include policing and law enforcement, but also experience of agencies that cover prosecutions, courts, offender management and rehabilitation, and national security. You will bring experience of working across the criminal justice system to understand how data is currently captured and by whom, and how these data sets may join together for greater insight.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed-term until 30th September 2025, however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote (within the UK) and regular on-campus working. 

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience of conducting data analysis with criminal justice held data
  • Experience of using law enforcement data to write strategic assessments
  • Experience of a range of research methodologies
  • Experience of building strong partnership with criminal justice agencies around the world
  • Experience of gathering, analysing and presenting complex information to a senior audience
  • A passion for making the world a better place and preventing CSEA, improving services and safeguarding children
