OVERVIEW

ISS ESG is looking for an individual enthusiastic about the impact of environmental, social, governance (ESG) considerations on the investor community; someone thriving to become a true subject matter expert on our Governance Data solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of the growing ESG Client Success team, with a focus predominantly on Governance Data products for a portfolio of largely European clients.

You will help clients understand the range of products and use cases available to them; help them solve specific business problems within the Governance Data product suite; and ensure they are kept abreast of developments in corporate governance.

You will be the main contact person for existing clients, while also providing subject matter expertise to the regional Sales team to help advance new business opportunities.

You will also play a pivotal role internally by bringing feedback and ideas to help expand the Data & Analytics business; in close collaboration with the Data Solutions Product team.

Subject matter expertise

· Proactively develop and strengthen relationships with Governance Data & Analytics clients to help them understand the range of data and products available (including on board composition, executive pay, shareholder rights)

· Ensure clients stay engaged and help them use ISS ESG products creatively

· Maintain in-depth knowledge of offerings; provide appropriate solutions to clients

· Assist clients with developing solutions to complex problems

· Advocate for client needs within our organization

· Collaborate with sales team and colleagues in Client Success to help potential clients understand ISS Data & Analytics and ways the data can help with investment processes

Project management

· Lead the management of projects relevant to specific clients (new implementation, upgrades, ad hoc projects, etc.)

· Contribute to and collaborate on internal initiatives to improve the scalability of the business

Sales Collaboration

· Provide ESG subject matter expertise to the Sales team to help increase client book (institutional & academic clients)

· Contribute to new sales goals by identifying potential leads within the client base

· Participate in ESG related roadshows, meetings, and calls as needed

· Contribute to meeting follow-ups (in coordination with Sales)

· Provide insight to Sales on services that are trending with clients

· Provide sales with relevant product updates and related commercial opportunities

· Share updates on product enhancements and new capabilities with clients

· Discuss new project ideas and potential upselling opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory

· Bachelor's degree

· 5+ years' experience working with investment / financial services professionals, particularly portfolio managers and analysts, is appreciated

· Track record of success in client facing roles such as client service and/or sales

· Ability to understand key client needs, with a commercial orientation

· Experience working successfully with internal IT, research, product, and operational teams to meet client objectives

· Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams

· Experience in analyzing data and understanding its underlying research methodology

· Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new content, and learn new ESG products

· Strong project management/organizational/multi-tasking skills

· Outstanding written, communication and presentation skills

· Proficiency in Excel

Preferred

· An aptitude for cross-discipline problem-solving

· Interest in solving data issues creatively

· Interest in developing technical ability to independently work with data & analytics

· Ability to develop an internal network of cross-discipline experts and resources

· Interest in financial markets and following daily events/news
